Shia LaBeouf must be stopped!

??? Again, when did you see me say something bad about Shia?
I merely asked you some questions as to why you liked him so. If you want my honest opinion, I saw the trailer for Shaker Heights and said "this might be interesting". The only thing I can honestly say about the kid is that he is definitely not what would normally be called "handsome", but hey, whatever your tastes are, I don't care.

But we're serious about the New Kids thing. Tons of chicks did say the exact same thing you were saying about them. And look what happened to them!
Those who say that the totalitarian state of the Soviet Union was not "real" Marxism also cannot admit that one simple feature of Marxism makes totalitarianism necessary:  the rejection of civil society. Since civil society is the sphere of private activity, its abolition and replacement by political society means that nothing private remains. That is already the essence of totalitarianism; and the moralistic practice of the trendy Left, which regards everything as political and sometimes reveals its hostility to free speech, does nothing to contradict this implication.

When those who hated capital and consumption (and Jews) in the 20th century murdered some hundred million people, and the poster children for the struggle against international capitalism and America are now fanatical Islamic terrorists, this puts recent enthusiasts in an awkward position. Most of them are too dense and shameless to appreciate it, and far too many are taken in by the moralistic and paternalistic rhetoric of the Left.

Whatever, you're all the same.

Yes, and I can clearly see how The New Kids on the Block can totally be relevant to Shia.

Okay, so you don't have a problem with Shia, why does it matter why I like him?

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.

Yeah, I'm so racist. Too bad I don't belong to the National Socialist German Workers' Party. This isn't a governmental issue either.

oh...that's who he is....and yeah, he is gay.  Live it wit dear....

Ben Savage thou...come on Ravi, that guy is great!!!  I think you are just jealous he was hittin' Topanga (and her fine ass boobies)...

Ben Savage is cool.  I just found it funny that two Disney produced shows had brillo-head main characters.  Boy Meets World was awesome.  I watch the reruns and I don't cringe, except at the mediocre college episodes.  But those are way better than Saved by the Bell's college episodes.

Topanga <drool> <cream>.  Its time to get out the Mop-N-Glo.  (with apologies to GDIDM)

As for the topic of this thread, Shia LaBeouf, he's funny on Even Stevens, but not outrageously witty on his own on talk shows.  I don't think he will be as popular as the Coreys were in their heyday.  Have there been any superstar teen idols in the past few years?  Hopefully he'll move on to better projects and better haircuts.  He's no Ben Savage.
