This is very true. I don't know why a comparison between her and Waits is a good one. But it is. A great one actually. Her style is a lot closer to Mann but with a smidge of Waits.

I love the spirit of the music. A lot on the plus side. The only negative thing I can come up with is really a plus if you think about it. It's what they said about Mann also...if nothing else the music is too produced. It's a bit too clean. I wanna hear imperfection, the artist behind the music. This is what makes Tom Waits so fucking amazing. Music so full of commercial musical flaws that it makes me cry. He and..

The only song of hers that I know... is the one in Stealing Beauty (Bertolucci film... duh).  I think it's called I need love.  Burned it on a cd once... really awesome song.
