Producer Jon Peters and director Brett Ratner came close to blows at the time Ratner quit Peters' Superman project, Esquire magazine is reporting in its latest issue. According to the magazine, the two ended up in a shouting match over the movie's budget, with Peters later claiming that Ratner threatened him with an armed bodyguard. Ratner was quoted as saying, "I don't need a guard to pull a gun on someone." The dispute, apparently arose out of the budget for the film, which Ratner estimated at $225 million, a figure that Peters deemed unacceptably high

If this is true, shouldn't he be like in prison or something. I hope so bad it's true.

I say put both these losers in the ring and let 'em fight to the death. They're both the worst kinds of Hollywood hotshots, aren't they?
""Money doesn't come into it. It never has. I do what I do because it's all that I am." - Morrissey

"Lacan stressed more and more in his work the power and organizing principle of the symbolic, understood as the networks, social, cultural, and linguistic, into which a child is born. These precede the birth of a child, which is why Lacan can say that language is there from before the actual moment of birth. It is there in the social structures which are at play in the family and, of course, in the ideals, goals, and histories of the parents. This world of language can hardly be grasped by the newborn and yet it will act on the whole of the child's existence."
