The Invisible Man

Caught this in IMAX yesterday. A mostly satisfying suspense chiller that forgoes narrative coherence in the third act in service of a cheap GOTCHA twist, but overall it's pretty well done - another memorable Elisabeth Moss downward spiral showcase (and how I love those).

A lot of the cheesier moments/effects in the trailer are not in the final film.

Going from Upgrade to this, it's safe to say that Leigh Whannell is on a roll. Nobody out there is doing lean and mean thrillers with this level of poise and craftsmanship right now. Just a filmmaker who knows exactly what he's doing and does it. Nothing but good things to say.
