TMZ has a transcript and an audio file of Alec Baldwin ripping into his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland (he calls her a "thoughtless little pig" at one point) and trashing her mother Kim Basinger. The tape has either cost Baldwin his visitation rights or threatens to, but either way there are anger-management techniques that work, not to mention counselling.

I'd call lots of kids thoughtless little pigs.  That's what they are!  There's no reason he shouldn't say that if it's true.

Exactly what I thought when I heard it.  That girl doesn't know how lucky she is that people would give a shit about her dad's abrasive voicemail to her.

And honestly, her parents are rich and famous.  It's very likely she's spoiled enough to deserve to be called a thoughtless little pig.

Hugh Grant arrested over "baked beans attack"

Hugh Grant has been arrested and questioned by police after a photographer accused the actor of attacking him with a tub of baked beans.

Photographer Ian Whittaker told the Daily Star tabloid that he and Grant, 46, clashed near the home of the "Four Weddings and a Funeral" star.

Whittaker said Grant abused and kicked him on Tuesday before lobbing the beans. The paper printed photos of Grant with a plastic tub of food raised over his head.

Grant's lawyers Schillings said an incident had taken place and was now under investigation. His agent in the United States said he had no official statement at this stage and London representatives could not be immediately reached for comment.

A police spokeswoman, when asked about the incident, said a 46-year-old man had been arrested on Wednesday evening and questioned at a London police station after an allegation of assault in west London.

He was bailed to return in May.

Grant had a previous well-publicized run-in with the law. In 1995 he hit the headlines after being arrested during an encounter with a Los Angeles prostitute.

In 2000, Grant split with his girlfriend of 13 years, actress and model Elizabeth Hurley. Hurley married Indian businessman Arun Nayar last month.

The actor announced in February that he had ended his relationship with British socialite Jemima Khan.

Gere faces Indian arrest warrant

Richard Gere and Shilpa Shetty

An Indian court has issued an arrest warrant for Hollywood actor Richard Gere after he kissed Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty in public.

Gere, 57, kissed Shetty, 31, several times on the cheek at an Aids awareness event in Delhi earlier this month.

The court in Jaipur in Rajasthan state called it "an obscene act", after a local lawyer filed a complaint.

It was not immediately clear how the warrant could affect Gere, who is a frequent visitor to India.

Shetty, who found fame outside India as the winner of Celebrity Big Brother in the UK, has also been asked to appear before the court.

But her spokesman, Dale Bhagwager, said the actress had not received any court order or summons and was currently away visiting temples.

He said Shetty had not done anything wrong.

Bigger issue

"What is there to comment? They were three innocent, natural cute pecks on the cheek," said Mr Bhagwager.

"What can one say, when three pecks can be made into an issue in the land of the Kama Sutra? People should concentrate on the bigger issue of Aids, rather than this."

Photographs of the clinch were splashed across front pages of newspapers in India.

Public displays of affection are still largely taboo in India, and protestors in Mumbai (Bombay) set fire to effigies of Gere following the incident.

Dance scene

Shetty has defended Gere saying that it was all done "in good humour".

"He especially told me to tell the media that he didn't want to hurt any Indian sensibilities," she said.

She said Gere had only been re-enacting a scene from his film Shall We Dance.

Under Indian law, a person convicted of public obscenity faces up to three months in prison, a fine or both.

Gere, star of films such as Chicago and Pretty Woman, is a Buddhist and travels to India frequently to visit the Dalai Lama, who lives in exile in the north of the country.

FANS BEG ARNIE TO LET PARIS GO
Source: NY Post

A panicked Paris Hilton yesterday urged her fans to join her in a desperate plea to California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to keep her out of jail.

"My friend Joshua started this petition, please help and sihn [sic] it. i LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!" she wrote in her latest blog entry on her MySpace page about Joshua Capone's letter, in which he asks the "Governator" to pardon the pitiful Paris because she provides "beauty and excitement" to "most of our mundane lives."

"Paris Whitney Hilton is a 26-year-old American celebrity and socialite. She is an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, as well as to the real estate fortune of her father Richard Hilton. She provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world," Capone wrote.

Hilton was sentenced to serve 45 days in Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., for driving with a suspended license after a DWI bust. She must surrender on June 5.

"We, the American public who support Paris, are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that Drunk Driving is wrong," the letter says. "Please consider granting a pardon to Paris Hilton for her mistake, or at the very least to advocate for a pardon to be given to Ms. Hilton."

Earlier, right after Capone posted his open letter to the governor, Hilton gushed, "Thank you Joshua. I just want to thank Joshua so much for his kind words of love and support. God Bless, Love Paris."

Meanwhile yesterday, Paris' publicist and fall guy, Elliot Mintz - whom she axed after he testified he told the heirhead her license was suspended for 30 days instead of four months - vowed he would do anything to win her back.

"I absolutely love Paris," Mintz said. "She's a sweetheart and we are pals beyond a professional relationship. This is a time of enormous difficulty for her, and anything I can do for her I will."

Mintz said that the two plan to meet for an intimate dinner so they can discuss their working relationship.

"In this age of Blackberrys and cellphones, it's a good idea for us to sit down and look each other in the eye over dinner," Mintz said. "I gave her a call and she was warm and personal, and we're going to sit and have a conversation about her future."

According to reports today, the heiress has in fact reunited with the famed publicist. Mintz confirmed to The Associated Press that he was representing Paris once again.

Mintz is a veteran publicist who has a long history of dealing with respected stars - including Bob Dylan, John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

But lately, the faithful flak has served as more of a baby sitter, bodyguard and chauffeur for the pampered starlet, saying that he "goes above and beyond" because he has "nothing but love and respect for Paris and her family."

Paris' lawyer, meanwhile, yesterday filed a notice to appeal her sentence and plans to file the appeal later this week.

Michael Sauer, the judge who handed down the harsh sentence to the harebrained heiress, got a standing ovation at his Los Angeles church, according to the Web site TMZ.com.

Hilton's jail term cut to about 23 days

Paris Hilton will serve about half of her 45-day jail sentence and will be separated from the general inmate population, authorities said Wednesday.

The hotel heiress will spend about 23 days in a "special needs housing unit" at the Century Regional Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said.

Her sentence was shortened after jail officials gave her credit for good behavior, Whitmore said. Officials considered several factors in calculating the credit, including that she appeared for her latest court date, he said.

Hilton will stay in a unit that contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates, he said.

Like everyone else in the 2,200-inmate facility, Hilton will get at least an hour outside her cell each day to shower, watch television, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone, he said.

The 26-year-old socialite was sentenced to jail this month for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. A judge ordered her to report to jail by June 5.

A call to her lawyer, DUI specialist Richard Hutton, was not immediately returned. Her publicist, Elliot Mintz, declined to comment.

Lohan arrested on suspicion of DUI

Lindsay Lohan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday after her convertible struck a curb, and investigators found what they believe is cocaine at the scene, police said.

Lohan, 20, and two other people were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 when it crashed on Sunset Boulevard around 5:30 a.m., Sgt. Mike Foxen said. It appeared Lohan was speeding, Lt. Mitch McCann said at an afternoon news conference.

Officers at the scene found a "usable amount" of a drug tentatively identified as cocaine, McCann said. He declined to say where the drug was found other than to say Lohan was not carrying it.

Lohan, who spent time at a rehabilitation center earlier this year, was driven in another car to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, McCann said. The two other people in her car were not hurt.

Officers received a 911 call about the accident and arrested Lohan at the hospital for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, McCann said.

She was released from custody because she was admitted to the hospital, police said.

Lohan will have to appear in court to answer the citation, first reported on the Web site of X17 Inc., a celebrity photo agency.

The crash was Lohan's third accident in about two years. In October 2005, Lohan and a passenger received minor injuries when her convertible hit a van in West Hollywood. Authorities said the van driver, who also received minor injuries, was at fault.

Months earlier, Lohan collided with a minivan when she made a U-turn as the van, carrying paparazzi, followed her from a Los Angeles restaurant. A photographer was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon but prosecutors declined to charge him.

That crash was credited with prompting Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to sign a law that set steep financial penalties for paparazzi who commit assaults while trying to obtain celebrity photos.

Lohan publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik did not immediately return an e-mail requesting comment.

Lohan said in January that she had checked into a rehabilitation center for substance abuse treatment. Her publicist confirmed in December that the actress was attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

Lohan told Allure magazine during an interview for its May issue that she decided to enter the secluded Wonderland Center at the suggestion of her therapist.

"It's so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab," Lohan told the publication.

Lohan's latest movie, "Georgia Rule," is in theaters now. The actress' other screen credits include "Mean Girls," "Bobby," "A Prairie Home Companion" and "Freaky Friday."
