Starring: Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, James Gandolfini
Director: Michaƫl R. Roskam

The director's debut was Bullhead, which I really dug.

This movie is solid, I don't know what more there is to say.  I just came out of it, kind of thinking it over and I'm surprised to see no thread for it.  All around decent movie, nothing that particularly floored me.  But I guess, in that regard, it manages to teeter on dark but still be entertaining and not particularly gut wrenching so that I need to set aside an afternoon to apologize to myself for what I had witnessed.  I'm looking forward to more from this guy.
"As a matter of fact I only work with the feeling of something magical, something seemingly significant. And to keep it magical I don't want to know the story involved, I just want the hypnotic effect of it somehow seeming significant without knowing why." - Len Lye
