The Cove was good, but I wanted Anvil! to win.  Those guys keep getting the shaft.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

they're doing alright for themselves since that movie... better than owed considering the level of talent.

That sounds mean, but success isn't always based on who the nicest guys are.
