Title: Sript idea - the 7 basic plots

it's been said that there are 7 basic plots;

overcoming the monster

rags to riches

the quest

voyage and return

comedy

tragedy

rebirth

I was thinking of writing an interlocking story kinda script with these 7 stories all being explored.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

(please refrain from using the word "altmenesque" in your postings - thanks)

Think up a story yourself. It's much more satisfying.

And if people had an epic storyidea I doubt they'd give it up.

yeah but some great films have come from sticking to a set of rules. e.g the films of lars von trier.

Just make up the story yourself.

oh no, i totally appreciate the support. i just like a challenge.

for instance, I'm writing a selection of short stories based on items that i have found on the street.

when has it been done before?

I always plagiarise without even realising. I invented the credit card the other day, convinced myself i was a genius and would die rich then realised it had been done.
