God help me, I think I'm becoming an Altman fan. This is my third Altman movie post. Caught this one on TV the other day. Missed bits and pieces, but I got the gist of it. I remember seeing it when I was little (i must have been 9 or 10) and not really getting it. It was pretty good. I really am starting to like how he balances out the whole ensemble and I like how he shoots (what with the multiple cameras).

On a side note, I met with the producer for Rose and the Snake this weekend and this is how Rebecca Miller will be shooting the whole thing. I'll probably be helping out the camera guys and running from camera to camera (at least, that's what she told me).

I'm excited to see how this is done and how to set up good shots while staying out of the other camera's way. Altman usually has some movement in his shots, and there are so many people around (esp. in this movie, there's always crowds) so these kind of sets have the be extremely difficult to work in. Has anybody else seen this movie? It's good. Not as good as Short Cuts or Nashville, but good in that kind of way.
The corpses all hang headless and limp bodies with no surprises and the blood drains down like devil's rain we'll bathe tonight I want your skulls I need your skulls I want your skulls I need your skulls Demon I am and face I peel to see your skin turned inside out, 'cause gotta have you on my wall gotta have you on my wall, 'cause I want your skulls I need your skulls I want your skulls I need your skulls collect the heads of little girls and put 'em on my wall hack the heads off little girls and put 'em on my wall I want your skulls I need your skulls I want your skulls I need your skulls

I only enjoyed the Julia Roberts/Tim Robbins story line. That's about it.

Taz, did you see "Personal Velocity"? Is Rebecca shooting on DV again?
