this is a two parter, firstly my search bar results are non-existent,  maybe it's a mac thing idk.  whenever i put something in the search field the result always states database error.  it's been like this for a long time.  i did my best to scan any info/thoughts on Joon-ho Bong but couldn't find anything.  i'm super excited about this director out of korea, both "Memories of Murder" and "Gwoemul" (aka The Host) were phenominal films and was wondering if anyone has seen his newer film "Madeo"

if there is a thread could someone post the link, and if not i'd love to hear people's thoughts.
the one last hit that spent you...

Okay, after watching 4/5 of this dude's films, I will conclude that he's something good. Good at the genre stuff while still maintaining emotional value and a great sense of humour.

Not sure if he should return to Korean films or continue down the Hollywood path.

Also, it appears that it's not a Bong Joon-Ho film unless there's a flying kick in it.

memories, host, mother, snowpiercer -- those 4? so fucking rock solid. he did the 3rd part of tokyo! as well, recommended

Lottery

Yup, those ones. Barking Dogs Never Bite looks pretty different from his other work.

Says next film is likely to be 'Okja', about the adventures of a very unique woman. Set in both korea and the US with a mix of both languages. He wants to work on smaller projects now because it gives him more freedom

He should totally get Doona Bae again. Actually...the girl who plays the daughter in both The Host and Snowpiercer seems like a good choice, she's promising.
