i just finished watching THE TIN DRUM.  my god!  it's probably the most brilliant/beautiful film i have seen in a long time.  i checked it out at my local library because i saw it was presented by the good people of the criterion collection and i was definately not disappointed by the sheer quality of the film and extra features.  i'm gonna go to my local library again and get more volker schlöndorff films and THE TIN DRUM novel by gunter grass.  congradualtions rudie, you have a new obsession!!

has anyone else seen any volker schlöndorff films?  i'm curious to read what a xixax film snob thinks about his work...
