Quote from: RaviI don't remember Hit Em Up, but Life Goes On was a good song.  I used to have All Eyez on Me, but I can't find it.  Oh well, life goes on.

and beg the bitch to let you sleep in the house, ahh
Now its all about Versacci, you copied my style
Five shots couldn't drop me, I took it, and smiled
Now I'm bout to set the record straight, with my AK
I'm still the thug you love to hate
Motherfucker, I hit em up

I'm from N-E-W Jerz, where plenty murders occur
No points to be calmer, we bringin drama to all you herbs

Lil Kim, is you coked up, or doped up?
Get ya lil Junior Whopper click smoked up, what the fuck

And you bast stops squaws get mopped and dropped
All your fake-ass east coast props brainstormed and locked

Verse Four:

Youse a, beat biter, a Pac style taker
I'll tell you to ya face you aint shit but a faker
Softer than Alize with a chaser

Write a caper, like a loc, with little ceaser in a choke hold
Totin smoke, we aint no muthafuckin joke
Thug Life, niggaz betta be knowin, we approchin

Soon as the funk was poppin off

Outro: Tupac

Now you tell me who won
I see them, they run
They don't wanna see us

I can't listen to Hit 'em up without wanting to go out and beat the hell out of someone. Back in my high schools days, way back yonder (95-98), we used to play Hit 'Em Up in the locker room to get pumped up.

Besides the violence, Hit 'Em Up is a great rap song, definitely among the top 5 of all time.

I know it's all typical to say, but I wish Tupac was still around making rap records, showing all these wannabe no talents today how it's done. There are some good rappers, but for the most part, rap is hurting for talent.
When I was just a baby, my momma told me, "Son, always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns." But I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.

i think as a fan i wanted him to live , but as a artist he went at the right time

look at his peers, snoop went from being one of the greatest rappers of all time, to being a fun talk show guest

and a talking rat in malibus most wanted

i hear what you mean about that song pumping you up , that song makes you want to tear shit apart

Yeah, without question, him going at the point in his career he did, at the very top, that immortalized him as an artist, but I think he still had at least three more great albums left in him, just based on the posthumous ablums being released and how good they are, and those tracks are just things that were thrown aside.

It is true though that any artist who dies in the midst of their career will be remembered as greater than they are if they're not already a great artist (if that made sense). Like Hendrix, or Jim Morrison, they were great artists and would've been thought that way regardless of how or when they died, but dying at the peak of their career adds a mystique that might have otherwise faded.

No disrespect intended, but someone like Lisa Lopez from TLC, I think she gets more credit than she deserves as an artist because of when she died. TLC is a good pop group, they were good at what they did, but they did nothing revolutionary, everything they'd done before had already been done and will be done again. Since she died during her career though, she'll be remember as something greater than she was. It works both ways, I guess.

red light special, how hot a song is that and creep

and left eye was a nut job which = great celeberty

she set andre risons house on fire and caused one of the biggest fires in atlantas history and then boasted about it in song

He coulda died after he left Digital Underground, and I probably woulda liked him more...I didn't like his solo stuff, I tried to give it a try, but his gangsta ego got in the way of whatever charisma he had.  I hate when a person's ego gets in the way of actually being great.  just my opinion thou.
