Bjorn Olsson - Tjorn

Instrumental song. Reminds me of the summer.

The latest from these guys, who are somehow quickly becoming one of my favourite bands despite having not even released an album yet (thanks again to JB for posting about them here!). Really just the freshest overall rock sound I've come across for a long time, and the first new British band I've got excited about in forever.

Got to say, I'm hooked.
I'm also a little annoyed that the US Itunes doesn't carry the music.  I'll have to look for torrents when I get home.

Okay, has anybody found Everything Everything tracks in a downloadable format that isn't just from Youtube?

I'm dying here.  iTunes has it in the UK store only and you can't use a US credit card to buy from the UK iTunes.

Also, my subscription torrent sites are all gone for me so I'm public only and they don't like me or my taste in music.

No, I got what little I have from UK Itunes. If you drop me a PM I could send you them though...?

Good luck with that! This shit is DRM protected to the bone, isn't it?

I don't know the MEANING of the word DRM!

Seriously: I don't know the meaning - someone please explain it to me.

Digital rights management!

Meaning that the song you bought/downloaded on iTunes can only be played on your computer/your device and not shared.

But I am told by my coworker that iTunes songs are no longer DRMed... I don't know if that means you can send them to a friend, but I'd be surprised. Maybe! Try it.

also your name and email is attached to the songs so if RK decides to leak it to the rest of the internet it will be immediately traceable back to you.  not that RK would do that.

I found the Schoolin' EP that has 5 versions of that same song.  My brief research made it seem like they don't really have a full album, so if this is what you're looking for, I've found it online at 196 kbps (VBR).

I've tested it and it works just fine.

DRM workaround for iTunes songs: burn them to a cd from iTunes, then rip them back to the computer. You might even be able to do it without the cd with a cd-drive emulator like Daemon Tools or PowerISO, but I haven't tried it.

So, for the record: yes, apparently you CAN just email Itunes mp3s! Didn't even have to do the burn-to-disk strategy.

but it requires a password for someone else to play it?

Don't know if any of you have heard of Stornoway, but I've got their album on constantly right now. This song is awesome:
He held on. The dolphin and all the rest of its pod turned and swam out to sea, and still he held on. This is it, he thought. Then he remembered that they were air-breathers too. It was going to be all right.
