Sorry, quick question. In the "Best Director" category, should we be including the director's name (presented like the actor categories) or should we only list the film?
3. only list the movie in each category, not the person who would win (unless it's an acting category)
thank you.
CONFRONTATIONALHUGEREDTEXTOMG
don't make me bring it out again.
Haha, this gave me more motivation to see more films from 2011. To bad I won't be able to see films like Play, La Havre, A Seperation. Shame and The Turin Horse, but it should be great fun anyway. Right now is Melancho the big winner of the year.

Melancho
Yes, that right! The Mexican remake of Melancholia!
<---- Como puedes ver, estoy haciendo campaƱa para Melancho.
guys, what we need to do is talk about kevin.
AGREED. film, director, acting (lead female, supp males), cinematography, screenplay, trailer, music. BOOM
also SUBMARINE.
just realized that we dont have an editing category, because that was superb too.
Just remember to "DRIVE" your "SUBMARINE" "LIKE CRAZY" before it's "MIDNIGHT IN PARIS". And, uh.... "TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY".
I voted.

if drive doesn't win best pic this year. I quit xixax.
tell me another movie that's better.
Drive is great, but I can name 3 that were better.
It won't win. Bye, squints.

Melancholia, The Skin I Live In, Tree of Life. I'm not going to claim that's anything more than my opinion, though.

Drive was good and all, but far away from best pic of the year. I guess I just don't get it.
Melancholia, We Need To Talk About Kevin, Midnight in Paris. And I havn't seen that much.

Alright, alright. But then shouldn't it be "Best Direction"?
We list them once the nominations are in, it's just easier to count this way.
Holy crap, Kill List and Tyrannosaur. HOLY CRAP.
ive read great things about kill list, but who has seen that here? you and modage? did it ever get a wide release?
for tv show
breaking bad, duh
also, game of thrones, that show is truly amazing.
I'm joining the campaigning.
EDIT: Also, don't forget about Jane Eyre.
SECOND EDIT: And what are the thoughts on where Andy Serkis should be nominated for Apes? I say lead.
I put him down for best supporting, but it just doesn't seem right. No way dumb James Franco carries that whole movie...
We typically hold a stronger distinction between Lead and Supporting than the Academy does. Caesar is pretty clearly a co-lead in the film, and should be nominated as such.
For Your Consideration

Yeah, worst movie. What are you guys picking for that category? Me- Straw Dogs. Trespass is any even more awful home invasion movie but it kinda turns back on itself and becomes badly good.
EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE. It has everything I look for in a worst film.
I'll get to that one eventually, but I feel like all it has in store for me in is an emotional gut punch. I'm familiar with the story from reading the book, and have heard countless reviews pinpointing why it sucks ass, so I'd probably just get mad at myself for attempting to find anything of value in watching this.
Did anyone actually see Chipwrecked though? You should only be voting for the best/worst movies you've actually seen. (Duh.)
Deadline for ballots is in 3 days.
is Gainsy a supporting actor in Melancho?
Not supporting. Just plain "actress."
Deadline for ballots is in 2 days.
is Brad Bird eligable for Debut?
I'd say no.
Any way I can edit my nomination? I totally forgot about Dunst and Gainsbourg in it...that's vital. :(
...just nom'd all hard

Absolutely... just PM me with the details.
Actually, the deadline is tomorrow.
Your vote really does count for a lot, especially for the nominations vote!
(We're getting an okay turnout, but not a large one.)
Even in years with high turnout, one vote has often made the difference.
And remember, if you don't vote, you don't get to complain when Xixax declares war with Iran.
psh.. xixax aint nuthin but a buncha old white guys anyway.
Need some ideas for those empty slots on your ballot?
Remember: When in doubt, Melancholia!
