Am I blind or do I not see that offer anywhere on his site? Where does it say that?

I don't want to do this, because I know it's going to be awesome.  I just don't have the money

You really could see everything in a week. And I bet you have money for beer and shit films.

Haha, did I anger you somewhere?  I hardly see movies anymore.  Seriously, I'm low on cash

No, I'm just pre-menstrual and in a fucking bad mood with everyone and everything yesterday and today. Even Rich Linklater, see?

And in this mood I'm sick of people moaning about David Lynch asking for cash for his art. It's not vital you see what's on his site, so if you don't want to spend a few quid seeing then just forget it.

What is worth moaning about is the Eraserhead outrage.

I looked all over the site too and found no mention of the free trial. No matter -- I think I'm going to go ahead and pay for it for a month. It's cheap, and my curiosity has been piqued.

Budgie, now that I have the Eraserhead DVD, I wonder why I didn't spend that fifty dollars earlier. Unless you mean that the outrage is that you can't order it in the UK.

Yes. I want to be able to steal a Region 2 from HMV for convenience.

But I'm torn. I understand everything except the Regionality.

If it is, then I take back my bitter thoughts.

Yes. Would someone buy it for me and send it? A gift. I'm waiting.

Jeez, I wish DL.com would have given out these memberships earlier on.  I was a member for like 8 or 9 months at found it to be disappointing.  Just not updated enough.  And good luck talking to Lynch in the chat room if you're not a crazy girl or someone who wants to talk about meditation.  7 days is enough to see what's on there, hell it would take and afternoon if you have broadband.

The Eraserhead and Short Films dvds are well worth the money if you can afford the hit on your wallet.

Holy shit, that Rabbits series on the website is incredible! I've only seen the first two so far, because I don't have broadband and have to watch them at a friend's house. The second one is seriously freaky. Beautiful stuff.

Dumbland is okay. Pretty much what the title implies. "I'm a one armed duck fucker" is a classic line of dialogue though.

But man, Rabbits is awesome.

Post by: Weak2ndAct on September 14, 2003, 06:10:57 PM
It's been a while since I've seen Rabbits, but holy hell-- it was great.  I love the simplicity, and how if you listen to the dialogue you'll find that it's all very simple, just jumbled up a bit.  I'd kill for a dvd of it so I'd be able to see it full-screen on my tv.

Dumbland is just insane and wonderful.  Crude as hell, but amusing because you can just tell Lynch is venting out some serious frustrations here (kids, wife, neighbors, helicopters, etc.).

No, I can't get that stupid bitch to take off her clothes. And I think that's the point...

Anyway, how the hell do you get to "Darkend Room"? I want to see it but can't because after I solve the puzzles nothing happens. The people on the imdb forum said that you could see it after you solve the puzzles and I did the puzzles but the movie didn't start so I wrote something there too but nobody's responded. HELP ME!

Have you sussed the telephone yet? That's the way to the Darkend Room, which I quite liked but not half as much as the experiments and the Angriest Dog.

I always wanted to see the birdfeeders most, but the live link never worked.

what do you dial in the telephone. all i can get in the telephone is a japanese girl telling me about her life, then she gives me another code which i enter into the telephone. that leads me to a flash animation of a box. when the box opens up, it asks me where the bananas are and a question mark appears. i click the question mark and the japanese girl comes back up and tells me i'm not supposed to be here. sigh. my membership expires tomorrow and i MUST see this before that happens! VIVA LA LYNCH!

le Lynch.

I can't remember now... the Frank Booth mask thing? Was that the way in? One of those puzzles. Sorry. If I was MacGuffin (...) I'd probably have the exact no. and sequence filed away in an intimate fold in one of my private places, or tattoed on my stomach, but I haven't because I'm not.

well, jeremy, i shouldn't tell you this, but everybody has a temporary internet folder where all their files are saved, albeit, temporarily. this is so your computer doesn't have to redownload files, thus pages load quicker.

Yeah, but Safari saves everything as cache files. Is there another way?
