Their new song is the worst piece of shit I've heard since their last single a couple of years ago.
I just got their new album...I didn't buy it..I stole it!! And yes it is actually pure annoying crap! It doesn't make any sense to me.
Cigaro is pretty bad... I liked BYOB, though.
Because you don't get it, is that why it's bad? Personally, I think their music has become less complicated and lyrics more simple... but I've always found it enjoyable to some degree.

I really like their first to albums when they came out. But I think I've grown out of them. I've found so many other artists that are experimenting and alternative in ways I find much more interesting. The think I don't understand is their mixture of silly skizofrenic part, beautiful "creedish" epic passages and polka. I my ears it just doesn't make sense and it sure as hell doesn't sound good. Serj Tankian isn't even that good a singer.
Anyway, their first album was by far their best one.
I've only heard Toxicity, and I really liked it. I think it's hilarious and just easy music to listen to. It's heavy when you need it. The new song is pretty uneven and all over the place.
BYOB is the worst audio shit to hit mainstream airwaves since... well, really I can't think of a since. BYOB is the first song to make me seriously contemplate calling up a radio station and telling them if I hear them play this song one more time I will forever boycott their station.
It is that bad.
I really tought I would get flamed or something :yabbse-thumbup: :yabbse-thumbup:

Would you like to be flamed, Pas? Just give me your telephone number and home address and I'll connect you to a really nice girl.
What?
"Jump pogo pogo pogo pogo pogo pogo pogo
Bounce etc."
These lyrics are hilariously dumb, and I love them.

That's not from the new cd! Manwhore!
With all that said I think BYOB is the best song on the new cd.
I know, I'm just saying that SOAD had some good shit. A lot of bands go bad.
After listening to the new CD, the intro, Violent Pornography and Sad Statue are great songs. Especially Violent Pornography, goddamn that's awesome.
I actually like the message BYOB is presenting, as opposed to the lack of politics brought forth.
The new album isn't the best, but it's saying more than their other albums have.
pas, you suck.
anybody have hypnotize?
Hypnotize sucks. Except "Vicinity of Obscenity" ....banana banana banana banana terracotta
I've been listening to Steal This Album a lot lately, it's really really good. You can't take this band seriously for an instant, though. Like the song "Bubbles" I get really into it, but it's called Bubbles. A guilty pleasure, I guess. Even though I'm not guilty about it, they are good at what they do.

Hypnotize is definitely not as strong as Mezmerize, but my favorite is still their self titled.
SOAD has a very noticeable decline in metaphors and cryptic speech. It used to be complex and left room for investigation, but as albums come out I think they realize how blunt they need to be.
Their self titled album was very enigmatic, Toxicity still used allegories, but became a little clearer, Steal This Album had songs like Boom ad Fuck the System, and Mezmerize has absolutely no real hidden meanings with songs like BYOB and Violent Pornography. I don't know if the decline in intricacy is good or bad, since they're still releasing songs I enjoy (and some I skip to get to the others) but it is quite noticeable.
