I'll actually watch this because it's Robert Smigel's directorial debut and therefore MIGHT have a smidgeon of hope of being not terrible?

That is precisely what caught my attention and why I decided to post it here. The cast has some noteworthiness, but Smigel's fingerprints on it is what will make me give it a chance.
