“Big Lebowski” Midnight Screenings in Atlanta, 8/29-30

Hey folks,

Some friends and I organized a grass-roots calling campaign to get a local theater to hold a couple "Big Lebowski" midnight screenings.

Here is a quick run-down of the details:

Spread the word as much as possible.  They will consider making this a regular thing if enough people show up.

Thanks for spreading the word.  The way I did it was to go to every Big Lebowski or Atlanta film community bulletin board and post messages with the theater's phone number.  I told everyone to call and ask for midnight TBL screenings, and lo and fuckin' behold, we got 'em!

If you or any out of town friends want to try and make it down for the weekend of the 8/29-30 screenings, that would rock too, since we need a big crowd to convince the theater to do this regularly. There is a nice European-style hotel with cheap rates ($60/night for 2 person room) just half a block from the theater:

DragonCon is happening in Atlanta the same weekend.  Far out, man.  Far fucking out.  Two good reasons for a road trip.

The theater announced that there will be a costume contest and a trivia contest - with, like, prizes...man.

check this out.....this thread made me think of where I used to always go for Midnight flicks...they are showin' the Big Lebo too this weekend (that is funny).....good theater, if you guys need ideas on how to make it stick around for awhile, email the owner there, he is a good guy...he will help ya out with a plan of attack....
