Title: Anyone fancy co-writing a money-maker?
Post by: Sleepless on May 11, 2004, 02:03:14 PM
Hey, I've been thinking lately about how various filmmakers supported themselves in the early years by selling screenplays to Hollywood in order to get some money for their first feature. Since I'm hoping to produce my first feature in summer 2006, I've already started thinking about how to raise some money. At the moment, selling (or at least attempting to sell) a screenplay sounds like a good option. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd have the time to it on my own (not with writing my own movie, etc...) I was wondering if anyone out there would be interested in co-writing something sell-able with me over the next six months or so. You don't have to have had professional experience, just so long as you're really dedicated and a good writer. Private message me if you're interested, and we'll get chatting.

To be honest, I'm not completely sure. At the moment I don't really mind, jsut something that the studios would be liekly to buy. Basically, I'd just like to find someone who's up for it, then knock a few ideas about until we come up with something we both like. Like I said, get in touch, we'll have a chat, see what comes of it. We've all read the screenwriting book after all.
