i think practically every transition/wipe...maybe not the star wipe...has its place somewhere...

I'd just like to point out that I started laughing hysterically when I saw a clock wipe in "Attack of the Clones", and nobody around me knew why.

I think he doesn't use cuts because, even though all his movies are pretty long, there's something very fast-paced about them -an effect that these cuts create for him.
