how much of the music was really original?  most of it was from someplace else.  rza seemed like he only really did odds and ends to fill in the gaps.

THANK YOU!!!

This was worse than the Kill Bill  Best Screenplay nomination.  It's like 85% needle-drop.

Yes, the music was great, but not really original. Perhaps we need a new category, "best music choices"...

Gah, this is just lame.  There's more original music in my 15 minute film school movie than KB1.  Hope there's something a little more substantial in vol. 2.

Man, Danny Elfman was nominated and should have won this for Big Fish...

I love Kill Bill with all my heart, but WHO THE FUCK voted for it to win best original music?  actually, I counted votes so I KNOW who...

RZA sampled/re-envisioned everything, almost none of it was original.

The Award should've gone to Kevin Shields, NOT because I'm orgasmic over Lost in Translation, but because I'm orgasmic over My Bloody Valentine...

Man, people at Xixax obviously don't know the difference between original music and pre-recorded music. This whole thing is crap. The obvious winners are Kevin Shields and Brian Reitzell. The music from LIT was so airy and dreamy. Perfectly fit the mood of the entire film.

I voted for Kill Bill. I enjoyed the 3 minutes or so of sound you folks are mentioning WAY more than any of the other nominees I saw.

People at Xixax are obviously against the concept of democracy. Not that I'm all for it either.

GAH! SHUT UP ALREADY!

sorry, it's just that the whole 'ooh, lost in translation is the bestest movie ever' thing is really getting to me. i liked it too, but enough is enough.

i voted finding nemo. parts of that score gave me the chills. especially the part where they have to "swim down."

It's nice to know there's a little support for that score somewhere around here.  I was beginning to think I might have been the only one.  Not that that's a bad thing.
