Funniest fucking show on TV as of now. It just hit stateside and boy is it fucking great. Borat is my fav... Anyone else appreciate this show?
Mildly funny... extremely played out... laugh a couple of times when I catch it.
Based on one episode: semi brilliant
Brilliant fucking show. I love the ability Sacha Baron Cohen has to stay in character and coaz people into being pissed at him. The program just shows how little it takes to get most people offended.
"What haven't we seen on network TV? We haven't actually seen the dongs going in"
"Hello? This better be important, I'm in the middle of gaving sex. Wow, taht is FUCKING important!"
fukcing hilarious. have you seen the one where hes interviewing the hypocritical fashion designer -- i tought i was going to shit myself i was laughing so hard
I really loved the time when he went to Cannes Porn-film Festival dressed as a arabic newsreporter! .....BTW dont bother watching the movie it's crap!
Quote from: mogwaiI have the Ali G, aiii DVD.
I do too, but it's R2 and I can't watch it unless on the computer so i haven't done so.
Ali G is the funniest show I've seen in a long time. Brilliantly funny stuff.
i just saw his movie, "ALI G IN DA HOUSE" that shit is the funniest stuff i've seen in a while.
Ali G is kickin ass. Halerious.
HBO will release Da Ali G Show: The Complete First Season on 7/20 (SRP $29.95). Extras will include additional scenes, audio commentary on episodes 1 & 2, the Ali G Spyz Movie featurette, an interview with Ali G, the Ali G glossary and a View-by-Character feature.
ali G kicks tom green's ass in his own game.

After the Chappelle "Rick James" episode, that spy show thing is probably the funniest thing I've seen on TV.
"Me name is James Bond... James... Bond..."
I heard that HBO ordered a second season.
"this better be important 'cause I is in the middle of having sex...wow, that is pretty fucking important."
that was the best Ali G episode--he kept on calling the guy "Virgin", Borat showed pictures of an old fat white lady completely naked to people at the rodeo, the gay austrian dude (what's his name?) went to Alabama, Ali G talking to new gingrich...etc. That episode was sooo good!
You Yanks have missed a hell of a lot of Ali G stuff....that only appeared on UK TV.
Before he started out he was doing mini interviews on the '11 o'clock show' but at his hight of popularity he gave alternative to the queens speech at christmas in which he spoke about spliffs and robbin playstations at 3pm.
Although i do find the In da USA ali funny as hell, there's a lot of his earlier work in which he was even more daring in his questioning.
well, yanks with kazaa and edonkey caught all of that.
i've got the aiiii dvd. my buddy has the movie, but i haven't watched that yet. any good?
The movie, especially the title sequence is pretty funny but nowhere near the quality of his interviews and shows.
i like when he interviews Pat Buchanan..that's the only one i've seen. hilarious
I prefer the interviews with normal people like when he is talking to farmer and is digusted to find out that eggs come from a chicken's batty....oh and the protest and fox hunting are all class.
Wa Wa We Wah
No Third Season of Ali G!?
Booyakasha! Today is a sad day for lovers of the unique brand of humor made famous by Sacha Baron Cohen, who portrays characters like Bruno, Borat and, of course, British hip-hop legend Ali G.
After first gaining acclaim for his characters on British television, Cohen brought his show stateside for two masterful seasons of Da Ali G Show on HBO.
Up until now, there has been very little news as to when and if a third season of Ali G might be happening. Currently Cohen is hard at work on a Borat movie.
IGN FilmForce caught up with one of the Ali G writers and former star of the acclaimed Freaks and Geeks, Seth Rogan, at the recent press day for 40 Year Old Virgin. As the interview wound to a close, I asked Rogan what he had planned for the third season of Ali G. His answer was an unfortunate surprise: "There is no third season. It's over. The show is over."
And with that, Ali G fans everywhere are encouraged to "Keep it real" and hope for the best with the Borat movie. "Respeck!"
Shit.
Well, when does the second season come out on DVD?
Wait a minute, that's not Niiiiice.
what is it about comedy geniuses and third seasons!? i'm having a chapelle flashback (to a week ago)...
Seth Rogen was a writer for da ali g show? That's nuts.
My favorite ali g moment is when hes in philly at the police academy and he finds that money in that guys pocket and is like "Ah, what we got here? Did you steal this?!" and then he puts it in his own pocket, and the other police officer is like "No No! You can't take that, that's evidence" haha.
I've only seen the first season, but I've heard the second season is better.
Have you guys seen that woman he is marrying? Isla Fisher? Wow, she is absolutely gorgeous. He done good for being a weirdo.

well, this I can understand. everyone more or less knows who he is these days, which was what killed his show in Britain. he had to turn it into a tongue in cheek talkshow in which all the guests were in on the joke.
