AAAHHH!  QUENTIN TARANTINO was the guest judge tonight!  And he was damn good.

I admit that I adore this show (don't know if anyone else does)... and Fantasia made me cry tonight.  Unbefuckinglieviable.
Classic.

I like the show, if only because of the few performances that really can blow your mind.  Tonight's show was alright.  Didn't pay too much attention, but QT's honesty was the highlight, and all the black girls (Jennifer, Latoya, Fantasia) really did great.  George Huff had an off week, but he may pull it off.  I so wish the two Johns would get gone -- they really are painful to watch.  I like Jasmine Trias.  She's cute, and has a great voice, but she's too young, just like Simon said.  Still, I'm hoping she sticks around for awhile.

I like hearing Simon's comments the most, because they're usually the most honest and basically right on.  Randy gets on my nerves because he can't seem to find another word to describe a "bad performance" besides pitchy.  He's singlehandedly made me hate that word.  And Paula can't criticize anyone for the life of her.  So yeah, Simon is the star for a reason.

Sidenote: it was depressing to see these contestants' choices for favorite movie, but at least Finding Nemo got two props.  Too bad the only old movies (that I remember) were Sister Act 2 and The Wiz.  Other than that, their memory doesn't go past 1990.

I tried to watch the show once. Turned it off after 20 minutes because it took so long to get from performance to performance. The interviews were extended and every 5 seconds it felt like commercials were popping up. It was like watching ECW wrestling or a video store rented porno.  And then, the utter disbelief I actually didn't like the fucking performances! Even with the hype, I knew it would not change my mind on happy pill pop music. I like Simon, but he's everywhere right now so I don't even need to watch the show to get to see his jokes.

They always say the same thing:

Randy: Waddup Dogg? Yo baby, I dug your performance, it was a little shaky at first, but you came through.

Paula: You are exactaly where you want to be. Great Job.

Simon: That was the worst performance of this competition.

though i dont like the show, i did watch QT and dug it. but i dont think i'll be watching it again.
Did I just get cock-blocked by Bob Saget?

Funny. That is almost exactly what Quentin said last night on Conan.

I don't watch American Idol... what kind of stuff did QT say while judging?

nothing spectacular, just regular judge talk. "I liked it" "Didnt do it for me" "You made me forget how much I hate that song"

Thank God America got wise and got rid of that wannabe Elvis karaoke "singer". He should not have even been given the wild card return in the first place. Here's hoping that the dirt poor man's Sinatra is let go next week.

Mac just elevated his status of cool... to unbelievably cool, for admitting that he watches American Idol.

When he sang "Jailhouse Rock" I had to turn the station.  It was so awful.  I can't believe the judges ate it up!  Thank goodness he was kicked off. I wasn't that impressed with QT's critiques, but at least he wasn't all "Great job!" like most of the celebrity guest judges.

Weird. Oh

I must be the only one who thinks these people are nothing new? I've only caught the show a few times but I just think they are mediocre at best. I mean yeah some have definite talent to sing. However, it just goes to show America loves a pre-packaged singer and nothing genuine. Where are the next alcoholic, heroin shooting  idols of the past? Dammit!
