I haven't seen it yet...is it worth seeing/buying? Any comments or recommendations?

Gold Trumpet

I didn't like it. The story is of a journalist who enters an insane aslyum in order to investigate potential wrong doings in the place but goes mad himself. Instead of the film delving into this man's gradual chaos through observation, it seems to do it by having all the inmates scream out the most insane things one could do for the time period (early 60s) and the journalist being affected by it. This seems to push Fuller's own desire to take on hot button topics instead of taking on a story in the most interesting way to tell it.

So you wouldn't recommend any of Fuller's films? I must admit I really don't know his work at all.
