Give me a fucking break. Even for the Slumdog haters you have to admit the music was fricking awesome.

i'm surprised synecdoche or wall e didn't take it. this is a pretty darn good score/i like it, but it's also pretty conventional. this must be the first time brion has lost in a year he wrote something.

What Kal said.
Some people have a fear of snakes. That was a somewhat rational fear. And you could do something about it at least. Stay away from long grass and nature documentaries. Easy. Others have a fear of heights. That was manageable too. Avoid tall ladders. But how do you cope when your fear is something you can’t avoid? That you have no hope of staying away from? Being afraid of the sky, where are you going to go?

I'm VERY surprised (and a bit disappointed) that Brion didn't win. I'm okay with DK winning, but it just seems like such a safe, by the numbers type of score.
Let's go to a motel. We don't have to do anything -- we could just swim.

I just can't justifiably say Slumdog because they play two versions of Paper Plans back to fucking back.

Jon Brion should've won.
