Man, great fucking work.  I really thought that was beautifully executed as a 20 min feature, and I can't wait to see it as a full length (2 HR) feature film.  Outstanding work with the music, when the vox came in the first time...MAN!!!  You got my ass good.

Well done. You let me know if you ever need some volunteer work.

it probably won't become a 2 hr feature. i have the script and i may do it one day in the future but the new script "frank flood" is a day or three away from being fully completed and it is vastly more entertaining/better written. can't have a mopey art piece first time out.

don't be cute  'p' stands for password BRO

sorry i bro'd you

however the PASSWORD is                                   fuzz

I totally missed that.

As for the short, it was very nice, just like the previous one. Good work, I'm always happy to see these sort of shorts (matt35mm, this goes for you too), because it's quite rare for me to really like shorts, but here there is not only a good idea, but also good character development, work with actors, camerawork, etc. I'd love for you to go into feature films.

Also: dude, was that Stephen McHattie in the funeral or a mere clone?

I suppose this may be a little ________, however, what does something like this cost overall?

How was that struggle?
it's not the wrench, it's the plumber.

this was 20,000 and a producer who is friendly with several rental houses.
actors got paid from this. crew was paid. director/editor/dop/producer worked free etc etc

circumference was 800 dollars.

had to cut a 1 minute-ish version of the short for a commercial agency.

Neato.

Between this, the Dead Hooker in a Trunk poster, and those Alamo Drafthouse Roadshow posters, I'm noticing a big trend in "this shape/thing could also be this shape/thing" type designs.

The ending of the trailer is fantastic! Keep it up!!!

This is incredibly late, but I just became a member and I wanted to let you know how subtly moving this short was for me. You really used those 20 minutes to your benefit, I thought the writing/directing/acting was so superb. It was pure enjoyment and absorption.

I have one question though, maybe I missed something from an earlier post. But what's the story behind PTA's critique on your film?! That's so EXCITING!

Once again great job, you really gave me a better understanding of how to create emotion, and story within just 20 minutes. It's a perfect length, really for what you set out to do.

Since I'm not sure how often CJ checks the board these days, I'll try to answer that. CJ is one of the people behind Cigarettes & Red Vines, and in that capacity I'm fairly sure he's had some direct contact with PTA (or "Paul," as he calls him).

Wow. I think "envy" is the word.

Deserves it for such a great short, and the best website I've seen for a director who barely leaks out any information.
