yeah fuck you I saw it.
I told everyone it was because this girl I like had a bit part, but really it was because I wanted to see some sick ass dancing in 3D.  but it was fun watching the little sis of someone I went out with on the big screen in 3D and think about that time when we crossed the line and told no one about it.  and then I was like, how the fuck did that ever happen, what was wrong with her?  But then I realized it was probably a weird punishment from God to tease me with it then take it away.  Like how Norm MacDonald once said he felt bad for the pigs in bestiality porn because one day the pig didn't know any better then next day he was fucking a hot lady then the day after he had to go back to fucking pigs and it must'd been torture.

back to the movie...

best use of 3D yet.  I think one of the choreographers in one of those promotional videos said "I think the human body is the best special effects" and he was totally right.  the end credit sequence featured like some dude just dancing with his fingers and it was fucking incredible.
dumbest plot ever.  it's got this jewish kid who in real life seems like this LA actor kid type, real cocky and slimey but in the film he was like a breakdancing michael cera meets patrick fugit.  and the script was like written by 12-year old kid from the 'burbs if he'd only seen Full House, Gem and the Holograms, and 8 Mile his whole life.  It literally made You Got Served seem like a masterpiece.  But it was consciously stupid and innocent, the same way Fred Astaire movies were fucking retarded.  A smart script would never allow for that many over-the-top cool moments, and if they did they ended up flaccid like Nine or Moulin Rouge.  Speaking of the latter, Step Up 3D did wide shots and long takes and it was classy as fuck.

I don't know who else on this board would go see it, but I think someone might benefit from watching this movie.  It really is a fucking spectacle and it really is innovative in its own way.  I mean I hated it when the director went on TED and talked like he was a real thoughtful human being, but at the same time he did break some cinematic grounds with this film and captured movement and dancing in such a fantastic and exhilarating manner.

fuck I wanna go see it again.

haha I saw it too. I guess I'll admit it. I've seen them all. This one has the worst plot out of all the movies (not just the series, but any film ever) but the dancing is really something special. Plus the main girl is super-duper hot. This was pretty much what the 3D gimmick was made for.
Falling in love is the greatest joy in life. Followed closely by sneaking into a gated community late at night and firing a gun into the air.
