What song would you play her/him?
I would play her 'Living la vida loca' and tell her this is the best we have.
Take your pick. (http://www.pzg.biz/cd250_stormtrooper.htm)
ok, fuck this. why even bother...
hahaha
dug yer own grave, bud.

Probably did...
If every fucking thing I say is gonna be turned into some nazi-joke then I don't have much to do here...
It was a poorly written post. I didn't get my point across...people made fun of me for a while and I thought fine...sloppy writing, I deserve it.
but now, come on...if making fun of me is worth me leaving this place...then okay, I should.
you made fun of your question in the first post.
actually i dont think he did. i think he was saying that he would play that and tell her that it was the best we have so that she wouldn't feel bad about being deaf, instead of letting her listen to something beautiful to show her what she's missing out on, which would be like giving a dehydrated person only a tiny taste of water.

What should I do? Play her Exit Music and say, "this is Radiohead...and it's their worst song."

i don't understand this one.

i don't. sounds like hes mocking deaf people. they aren't retarded, they can still read newspapers and articles and see what the best music out there is like.
i don't approve of it. i understand the premise.
well if that premise is true then hes taking the deaf community for idiots he's clearly lying and they would know that. so i'm sure he was joking.
anyone saw that movie "touch the sound" about Evelyn Glenny, the profoundly deaf percussionist? She does things to make deaf people feel the music, it's quite amazing, way more so than Mr. Holland's dancing lights.
yea its pretty interesting

were you joking kotte? if so, please explain your readiohead thing.

It was a joke, though my inital question was not.
Well...
QuoteWhat should I do? Play her Exit Music and say, "this is Radiohead...and it's their worst song."
I'm not digging deep into deaf peoples psychologies here but...
I think it could be a good idea to play a bad song to not make her feel bad.
Exit Music is a great fucking song yet it's one of their worst (in my opinion)...I think it says a lot about what this deaf person is missing out on.
staralfur.
thread cancelled and won, monster truckers.
kotte, you're still assuming that they don't read anything about music cause they're deaf. so your idea wouldn't even work, it'd be insulting.

Come on, your taking it too seriously...it's just another spin on the "best song" theme.
by the way, pete's post reminded me of this:

oh i see.
in that case: you made fun of your question in the first post.
he wasn't saying this thread's question was being made fun of.
i'm talking to kotte.
Celine Dion - My Heart Will Go On
i think you're all deaf. i mean dumb. oh, same thing.
Hey you can always make him/her listen to a crappy song and pretend it's called like "Stairway to Heaven" or whatever song you'd like a deaf to hear.
SO KOTTE WAS RIGHT. SHUT UP.
........
Kotte... I ... did my..... best...and failed *dies*
