I don't know if there are any xixax whigs fans. They were a seminal band for me in high school. They just did a reunion tour and I checked them out at the pheonix in toronto. For a bunch of guys pushing 40 they pretty much kicked a ton of ass.

This video was my initial introduction to the them; up late one night watching conan. I'll never forget skipping school the next day and making my way to the local indie record shop to pick up the album. 20 years later, and first time ever seeing them live, their performance was not at all far from what you see.

I never got too into Afghan Whigs, but I did have an old Sub Pop compilation album with the song "Retarded" on it, and I used to listen the hell out of that song.
