-for those into Dilla and the like, this is hot shit.

Exhibit A:

In heavy rotation for me lately:

Ernesto Djedje - Le Roi du Ziglibithy

.  If you dig it, then you would really find the rest of the album to your liking.  It's a mix of Ivory Coast and Congolese rhythms blended well together.  Very chill and dancy at the same time.
"As a matter of fact I only work with the feeling of something magical, something seemingly significant. And to keep it magical I don't want to know the story involved, I just want the hypnotic effect of it somehow seeming significant without knowing why." - Len Lye

I didn't actually follow along with the lyrics because they're Belgians singing in English. The singing and music is nice.

i really dig that album, but that poor soul is one of the ugliest human beings i've ever seen.

I wish I had never seen that.  I pictured a beautiful lady.

edit: almost makes me like it more in a strange way though.

two ladies I worked with this year:

Wolf Larsen:

it's a pretty quietly epic record. This girl and her guitar and a lot of strings.

and Y La Bamba:

check out a few videos they'd done:

The Perineum Falcon

i HIGHLY recommend this.
We often went to the cinema, the screen would light up and we would tremble, but also, increasingly often, Madeleine and I were disappointed. The images had dated, they jittered, and Marilyn Monroe had gotten terribly old. We were sad, this wasn't the film we had dreamed of, this wasn't the total film that we all carried around inside us, this film that we would have wanted to make, or, more secretly, no doubt, that we would have wanted to live.

The caps there really hit me hard, so I'm listening to it now.

Quite interesting.
it's not the wrench, it's the plumber.
