I'm glad to see Isaac Hayes on the list.

yeah, definatly one of my personal romanian flute artists to emerge from the seventies.
Wanna see/hear how QT uses Herrmann.
Also, if he goes by the concept of the TV show, the "Ironside" cue must be used when Uma is in the wheelchair.
Soundtrack comes out Sept. 23rd.

not reading it. i want to be surprised.
New tracks from RZA and the Wu? Consider the soundtrack in my discman.
THE CD-ROM CONTENT:
Remember when you read the reports from the San Diego ComiCon? Tarantino showed his OWN Kill Bill trailer there. One not for nationwide theaters, one for the fans. His bootleg trailer is on this CD. And it's better than everything you've seen before. Forget the teaser, forget the theatrical trailer. This is the most perfect trailer ever. Totally Spaghetti Western, Reveng and Exploitation-like. Perfectly cut, lovely done.
BUT.... not so fast. There is another one on that CD (the teaser is also included, makes 3 in total). Another great trailer, a bit different than the "QT bootleg trailer". This trailer puts the entire thing a little farther and gives you everything you need: shots you've always wanted to see, glimpses of animated scenes, and Uma Thurman speaking Japanese....
linky?
Quote from: ewardlinky?
To what?
nevermind, i was being stupid. i didn't fully read the thing. i thought maybe you had a link to the new trailer, but just ignore me, i was being dumb. sorry.
In the liner notes: ALSO THANKS TO: P.T. ANDERSON
I'm just giving the disc its first spin now. If the bootleg trailer is not enough, the CD is entirely worth owning just for the cover of Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood by Santa Esmerelda (a full ten minute plus track). And all the other music is amazing as well.
The soundtrack to this movie was perfect in every scene, IMHO.
Track 17 ("Super 16" excerpt - Neu!) is taken from "Master Of The Flying Guillotine". Too bad it's just a clip because the entire score for that film is just as great. Can you believe they wanna replace that awesome score with hip-hop for the proposed remake? Fuckin' hop-hoppers!
Quote from: Walrus, KooKookajoobThe soundtrack to this movie was perfect in every scene, IMHO.
I agree. Perfectly edited and recorded.
Quote from: MacGuffinFuckin' hop-hoppers!
yo, dawg, dont be hatin
whats the song in the end of the bootleg trailer that is on the soundtrack? its like humeee...oweeeee....hummeeeee oweeeee.....its tight
i was disapointe dit wasnt on the cd
well the bootleg trailer was cut by Tarantino so i would have figured he would use whatever he wanted, thats why it wouldnt be on the CD, and also because its not in the film.
i know the second half of the 1st bootleg trailer is "Death Rides a Horse," but i still have no idea what's playing for the first half... help..
that song that elle driver whistles in the hospital is fantastic.
another great soundtrack by QT.
The only thing i dont like about it is Rza's pointless Ode to Oren Ishii
and does anyone know if Twisted Nerve(whistle tune) is in another film? to me it sounds like it would be in a Hitchcock flick.
or depalma flick
Quote from: Cecilor depalma flick
fo shizzle

It's from this film. (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0063729/)
one thing that irks me about the soundtrack is the absence of the other song by the 5.6.7.8's, who were my favorite part of the movie. that long shot from the upstairs party room to the bathroom, back upstairs and back down while they played woo hoo got me going.
I wanna hear Bang Bang with the vocals. Loved that track in the film. I can't seem to find it anywhere, though. Any hints?

do u mean the nancy sinatra song that opens the film? its #1 on the soundtrack.
Yes, the Nancy Sinatra one. Odd, the copy I got didn't have vocals.
edit: n/m
Sorry for the dumb question, but what is the name of the track that begins playing as Uma drives off on her bike into the tunnel after spotting the lawyer on her cell phone (and who plays it)?
And no, I don't own the soundtrack yet....
The one that sounds like Flight of the Wounded Bumble Bee played on trumpet? If so, then it's the Green Hornet theme
Nope, that's not it. It was featured in one of the trailers too...with the airplane swooping in on Okinawa...with that fucking fresh beat...someone has to know it...
The main Kill Bill theme is beautiful, simply amazing.

gloria was nice enough to post the song list on the soundtrack over on page 1.

9. "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" - Tomoyasu Hotei
that is the song u speak of, and yes, it is indeed fresh.

i've come across a older version of this song. sounds great.
Muchas gracias.
So... all the RZA stuff is original music?
Quote from: OnomatopoeiaYes, the Nancy Sinatra one. Odd, the copy I got didn't have vocals.
Funny you should say that. When I downloaded the song, I too didn't have the vocals and wondered where they were. I downloaded a different quality version and again, no vocals. A friend downloaded it and played it for me. They sent it to me, and again, no vocals. It was not long after that when I discovered my Winamp's balance was not centered and was only picking up the music from the left speaker.
Sometimes I really amaze myself.
OK, now...
What is the name of the song in the 'duel' scene? As in, it ends just as Uma gets her back slashed by Lucy Liu in that nice bonsai garden?
The one that plays on until the end credits? I love that one, certainly one of the best! I think it's The Lonely Shepherd by Zamfir.

I agree. I only just got the soundtrack and track 14 is amazing! The perfect track for a finale.
anyone know where i could get track 6 without the rza voice-over? just the background music as it appeared in the film. i doubt it's available, but if anyone has any idea, let me know.
does anybody have a complete listing of the songs/music used in the film? and/or know the availability of those songs (as in, are they floating around online or impossible to find?) like i know that song "nobody" in the fight, and the other 5678's song. has anyone stayed through the end credits to jot down all the non-soundtrack music to try to find it?

Neatahwanta could do it on his 19th viewing.
i think i found the answer to my own question here on the tarantino archives. so for anyone else interested, a lot of this is floating around online...

ironside excerpt if you were being serious
If anybody wants to just download the soundtrack, the songs in Kill Bill have become extremly popular on WinMx and Kazaa.
Quote from: Jeremy BlackmanWhich song is the one with the sirens? Some one please please tell me.
jeremiah, it's number 16 on the soundtrack. "Ironside (excerpt)" Quincy Jones. it's really short, about 10 seconds, but still cool.
Thanks.
Yes, I was serious. I don't have the soundtrack. :yabbse-sad:
some of the rare tracks are available for download here (http://www.killbill2.net) including the sword room music and the other 5.6.7.8's song
