Seriously?

I'm not saying the sound was bad. Any other year, yeah, it should have won. Without question.

But Wall●E can win best picture but not sound? Crazy.
Some people have a fear of snakes. That was a somewhat rational fear. And you could do something about it at least. Stay away from long grass and nature documentaries. Easy. Others have a fear of heights. That was manageable too. Avoid tall ladders. But how do you cope when your fear is something you can’t avoid? That you have no hope of staying away from? Being afraid of the sky, where are you going to go?

excellent point. for some reason people like to give sound awards to actiony movies in general. maybe it's because they have the most sound editing? :yabbse-undecided:

well it also has to do with the experience of watching the dark knight in imax. i was completely inmersed and noticed even the last speck of sound in it.
